From quantum geometry to the universe

Group field theory

I use group field theory as a many-body and field-theoretic language for quantum geometry and non-perturbative quantum gravity, connecting its spacetime atoms and collective phases to macroscopic gravitational physics and cosmology.

Quantum gravity & cosmology

I study how cosmological physics can emerge from non-perturbative quantum gravity, and how that microscopic origin could leave observable signatures in the early and late universe.

Relational physics

In gravity, observables encode only relations between dynamical systems. Reference frames are themselves dynamical—and, in quantum gravity, quantum. I study the consequences of this change of perspective from non-gravitational physics.
